Hi Vision AR is cushioned between an unsurpassed SSR2 hardcoating and HOYA's Aquacoat final layer. The hydrophobic coating provides easy cleaning and is resistant to water stains. The SSR2 interior coating resists scratches. Together, the substrate-matched multi-layered coatings form a powerful shield. In fact, in industry standard droop ball test (ANSI), HOYA coated lenses outperform coated competitors' lenses of the same material.
